Privacy Policy

NordIQ Consulting (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you entrust to us. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and the choices and rights you have.

We handle personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as modernized by Law 25), the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and — where it applies to visitors in the European Union — the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible for your information

NordIQ Consulting is responsible for the personal information collected through this site. In line with Law 25, we have designated a person responsible for the protection of personal information.

Person responsible: the Privacy Officer. You can reach them at privacy@nordiqconsulting.ca for any question or request concerning your personal information.

What information we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. We collect:

  • Information you give us through the contact form: your name, email address, company (optional), the subject you select, and the content of your message.
  • Technical information automatically logged by our hosting provider for security and reliability, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is standard server log data.
  • Your cookie/consent preference, stored in your browser so we can honor it on future visits.

Why we use it and our legal basis

We use your information only for the purposes for which it was collected:

  • To respond to your enquiry and communicate with you about your request or a potential engagement (basis: taking steps at your request / your consent).
  • To operate, secure and maintain the website (basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe, functional site).
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. At present it stores only what is strictly necessary — chiefly your consent choice, saved in your browser's local storage — and does not run analytics.

If we introduce analytics in the future, it will load only after you consent through our cookie banner. You can review and change your choices at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site, and only as needed:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting and security (the site and its forms run on Cloudflare Workers).
  • Resend — email delivery, used to send us the message you submit through the contact form.
  • We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Storage and international transfers

Because our providers operate global infrastructure, your information may be processed on servers located outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States. Where this happens we take reasonable steps, including contractual safeguards, so that your information receives a comparable level of protection.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward for follow-up and record-keeping, after which they are deleted. Server logs are retained for a limited time for security purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and know how it is used;
  • Request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Request deletion of your information, or withdraw a consent you previously gave;
  • Request that your information be transmitted to you (portability), where applicable;
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information (CAI); federally, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; or your local authority in the EU.

Exercising your rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact the Privacy Officer at privacy@nordiqconsulting.ca. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls — to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant authority of a significant breach as required by law.

Children

This site is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
